I used to only allow comments from registered users on my blog, but since I realized that some of my friends were reading and might not have accounts, I have decided to change the settings so anyone can comment.

I really do not want anonymous comments though, so if you are not a registered user, please have the decency to at least write your name or something by which I can identify you. Alternatively, you can email me at myinkstainedhands (AT) gmail.com.

Thanks!

(And with all that said, I enjoy receiving and reading comments.) :]

Wait until you're famous enough to draw attention of trolls and spammers.

there's an option somewhere to leave a note before comments form. Copy your second paragraph there so people always know you don't want Anons

PS. you know who I am :]

Anonymous -- It is ironic that you are giving me advice about avoiding anonymous comments.

And I do NOT know who you are. Would you mind enlightening me?

Yeah don't we all love comments? Its an un-explainable phenomenon of blogsville...

You can join the i-love-comments-club if you want to make it official. In truth, all bloggers are in that club, question is...are they a closet member? ;-)

Yes, why else would someone regularly post in a blog if not to receive feedback? :]

I think that part of the reason I got bored with my previous blog was that I only had a couple of readers and barely any comments. (I wasn't really part of the blogging world then, because I didn't tell people I had a blog and I didn't comment or follow other blogs, so nobody knew about me.)

If I'm going to post something online, it's because I hope someone will read it. And the best way of knowing that I have readers out there is seeing comments popping up.

So thank you! :]

Moshe: you keep getting the good word verifications!

InkStainedHands: what was your old blog?

and yea commenting really adds to the whole thing.

SomethingDifferent: I like playing around with stuff, and saw a thing called Comment Luv and thought of you! It's a cool widget, I tried to put it on my blog, but it didn't quite work, so I gave up on it.

My old blog was just a collection of ramblings and musings by a 14-year-old. I had it for a few years and got bored of it over a year ago. I set it to private so nobody can see it now.

ISH- ugh now I'm curious about your old blog. I hate being curious. :-p

JSB- you can just put the I-love-comments-club badge on your blog. It should be just as good. I'm thinking of amking an official club, but not sure exactly how I'm doing it yet.

Something different: cool, I hadn't noticed it before. Did you make that yourself? you used graph paper for the letter C? I'll be glad to add it to my blog!

InkStainedHands: that's cool you had a blog when you were 14!

May 4, 2009 at 12:28 PM

JSB- I did make it myself, but on the computer, not with graph (or any other sort of) paper. I probably should have spent the extra bit of time getting rid of the lines but I lost patience...

And before my blog, I wrote faithfully on a journalspace account (back when I was 11). It was set to private, so I only had some of my friends reading it.

Something Different: really great work then! well the lines are okay, you don't really notice them unless you look, I was just wondering how they got there.

InkStainedHands: that's cool, cause my little brother made a blog at 11, but he only did it to copy me!
